Meet Jason and Kristen, your guides for this transformative retreat. With over three decades immersed in the healing arts, we are inspired by the innate human capacity to heal when nurtured with the right conditions and support. For nine years, we led Living Yoga Sanga, a vibrant healing centre in the heart of Mullumbimby, offering holistic events and collaborating with gifted practitioners and guiding aspiring yoga teachers, clients and students.
Kristen’s journey unfolded through study with Shandor Remete in the lineage of Krishnamacharya, enriched by teachings from Bonpo, Buddhist and Qi gong traditions, and later certification in Yoga Therapy. Jason’s path began under the mentorship of Kia’i Weber in the Abraham Ka’wai tradition, honing his craft over years of dedicated practice to meet the diverse needs of his clients with depth and mastery.
Together, we bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to this two-day retreat, offering practices designed to inspire, restore, and empower.
As part of the Sacred Reset Retreat, you can book a Kahuna Massage with Jason before or after the event and receive a $20 discount. Sessions are offered at our serene private clinic in the Byron Hinterland, just 20 minutes north of Mullumbimby. Choose from a 90-minute session, usually $160 ($140 retreat special) or a 120-minute session usually $220 ($200 retreat special). Bookings must fall within seven days before or after the retreat to be eligible for the discount.
Give yourself the gift of this powerful bodywork to deepen your retreat experience and support your journey of renewal.
“I love the beautiful reawakening of my own body’s wisdom as I am guided into those ancient forms that millions of bodies must have done throughout time. Even after time away from regular practice, the breath, the asanas, the mudras, and the mantras all seem to hold keys for self-remembering and it’s a humbling thing, not easily put into words.
Building on each day’s practice, those subtle pathways began to align, enliven and connect me to that deep, natural flow of lifeforce, ever-present yet so often rushed over and traded in for ‘busyness’, ‘progress’ or just ‘survival’ in these intense times. I have been noticing a subtle appreciation of the rhythms and cycles of my days unfolding with more kindness and self-respect, even with the challenges of the stultifying heat and discomfort in my body.”
